The Karparosa pattern originated at the family home of designer Tanja Orsjoki in Tammela. Summer holidays at the old family home and its garden inspired Tanja to reminisce about the stories of her family, especially Christmas stories that always featured magnificent Christmas roses. The scents of the garden in the summer and the old stories of Christmas roses took new shape in the designer’s notebook, transforming into images of roses as well as autumnal cranberries. This is reflected in both the name and the motifs of the Karparosa pattern.
